Has anyone gone through a functional PT/OT program and improved? I'd love to hear about your experiences! Also, has psychotherapy helped as well?

Functional PT/OT
I have, I had neuropsychothearapy for 30 sessions and of course it helped some of the 'stuff in my head' as I do have lots of childhood trauma. So go for that reason and don't expect improvement in movement.
I also had Neurophysiology for 8 sessions, this was in conjunction with the psychotherapy. This worked more for movement and I did improve a little, from full wheelchair to walking with a frame up to 6 metres. Don't expect too much, but don't hold back either...push yourself.
Overall it was excellent treatment, just not the wonder cure, we are all looking for.
I can go back and do the treatment again a year later.
Hi
I am really pleased that these treatments were helpful to you, I just wondered if you are able to tell me where you were able to access neuropsychotherapy and neurophysiology
Thank you
I'm in Sheffield, and received treatment at Hallamshire Hospital under Dr Grunewald as my Neurologist. Stephanie Howlett my Neuropsychologist is now retired. Lee Drake is the neurophysiotherapist.
I put every effort into getting better, however this FND is what it is.
I shall try again when they let me back for more treatment ( you have to wait a year between psychotherapy session blocks)
Good luck with your treatment
