hi i had my assesment for pip last thursday and i got a text today to say i got it , thats one less thing to worry about , now im off to the chronic pain clinic to see if they can help me.

so anyone with FND dont give up hope

Thank you so much Carol for posting this, I'm worried sick waiting for my interview. Reapplied for my car in November and told that there is a black log and so it can take a bit longer than the 16 weeks normally! FND is bad enough but cannot even get my mobility scooter on the bus as we live in a village with bus unable to carry it. So don't know what I'll do if I lose it. Do you mind me asking, are u in a mobility scooter as well? And what was the interview like? Many thanks Loretta xx

i have a walking stick and if i need to go out partner takes me , but my energy levels go quick , so cant go far ,. before this happened i was ready to take my test , now they wont let me drive , its soo very hard, i havnt come to terms with it yet , .

dont worry about your interview , mine was at home , he was really nice , just make it the worst day u have ever had even if your not that bad on the day , mine was on a really bad day and i couldnt get off the settee.

I have been diagnosed with fnd and suffer from chronic pain, sensiry symptoms and fatigue. I an justvtrying to complete my pip form. Any advice much appreciated. I feel I am going to be told by the dwp that this is all in my head and to go away. Really worried about it.

Hi Sahall!

If you have any Doctors letters,

medical letters etc, take them with you and just be honest

and tell them exactly how it's affecting you physically and

emotionally.

My symptoms started as soon I was being assessed so he seen the evidence right in front

of his own eyes.

Carol,

Hope you get some help at he chronic pain clinic. I went to a chronic pain therapist while living in Montana. It helped a bit. I do meditate , and use EFT and other techniques to help manage the pain.

Hi carol where did you have your pip assessment if don't mind me asking I've got mine on Friday and I'm worried sick that they won't believe me even when there prove and physical sign of prove I have it but not had assessment yet got all my information from doctors ready but I'm worried I won't get it any advice please ?

Hi carol thanks and at Nottingham tomorrow and had met with pain management team today (Thursday 28th) they found where the hole pain is held and what has caused me to come down with fnd if that makes sense I don't no how you relief your pain as everyone different but heat really helps mine they finally sorting me through with the right medication instead giving me stuff they think will help .. 2 steps forward in finally getting somewhere I just hope after tomorrow life be in my favour cause can't take much more bad stuff xx hope goes ok for you at the pain team and they help you much as they can .. This site is great for support from people that know what I'm going through without my partner or family feeling Unknown I still got the support from people that no how I feel xx

Hi carol1970 , assement went brill lady was loved took everything on bored and for once I felt I was listened to and not judge , will no in 4-8 weeks whether I was successful or not xxx

are thats great hun , il keep my fingers crossed for pip, the pain clinic are changing all my med , but he said he might be able to control it a little but cant take all the pain away , ive been in bed for two days abslutely sick of this ...... also they gona send me to rehab to learn how to cope and deal with this xx
