Hi fellow warriors,

i am sharing this because after being an herbalist and wild medicine harvester there are two absolutely essential herbs i use to counter ADT side effects.

Be advised I make my own so cost does not factor into how much or how often i take it.

The most important is wild lettuce (latuca verosa). I use this for pain and most importantly to go back to sleep after waking to go pee 4 to 5 times during the night.

Number 2 on my list is kava kava root. I use this for anxiety, anger, aggravation. This I have to buy the powder form and tincture it in 95% alcohol. Thank goodness I don’t need this often but like today it comes in very handy.

For latuca verosa the medicine is made from leaves and stems when just starting to flower in mid summer. Just simmer in water for a day not boiling, then strain and preserve with brandy to a total alcohol of 25%. I take a swig/ small mouthful and swish it around and keep it in mouth 10-20-30 seconds before swallowing. I don’t even remember getting sleepy, but next thing I know is I wake up 3 hours later to go pee again. Rinse and repeat.

I also use this for sny pain anywhere in my body including headaches. This is my go to pain medicine. Don’t get me wrong oxycodone works better and longer for accute or severe pain.

Kava kava i have used since college when i had anxiety block during calculus tests and it is AMAZING. You can’t take the 95% alcohol tincture straight. I just add a couple of droper fulls to water and drink it down.

Just my 2c from a lifetime of herbalism and an ADT warrior.

For hot flushes, I've found that Norwegian Kelp helped me, and my menopaused wife as well.

Luckily for me I didn’t get hot flashes. Buy if i did I would look into my E2 levels.

That could help a lot of us warriors. Is there any data behind that? Why you chose it?

I do not remember where I had seen this first but a quick Google search I did just now showed a few such as medium.com/@lesliegirmschei... and allthingshealth.com/en-my/w...

All I can attest is first hand experience for myself and second hand through my wife. It did not take long for me to feel the difference. I think they stopped after 3-4 days of trying it out.
