Well I have my final visit yet to do but phase 1a at the end announced 1 hR ago per my linked in feed.
poking for funding for next phase it appears:
‘Completion of first part of OVM-200 clinical trial
Oxford Vacmedix announces the successful completion of Phase 1a in the Phase 1 safety trial of cancer vaccine OVM-200, being used to treat ovarian cancer, prostate cancer and lung cancer
This trial is also the first clinical trial of the ground breaking ROP (recombinant overlapping peptide) technology invented by Professor Shisong Jiang, in the Department of Oncology at the University of Oxford’

So basically you found it safe, no side affects but no idea of its overall effectiveness particularly in your case with all the other treatments you have taken and your PSA continuing to be undetectable.
Will you be involved in the next phase and what will that show?
Feeling really well atm despite the ADT and Apalutamide. Skied for my 60th birthday week two weeks ago and was out and up every day and apres ski after. Away with work three nights this week no problem with motivation or early starts and enjoying the gym.
Going to be a grandad this summer so maybe that’s put an added spring in my step.
No side effects from OVM-200 and no idea if it’s helped! I will ask again at my final meeting if I can get my full results.
PSA 9 months undetectable and NED on scans. Final visit includes final scan, PSA I have checked monthly anyway but both trial and normal results coming back with the undetectable sign but of course I am still hormone suppressed and receptor inhibited!
So the vaccine appears to be safe and if they get the funding they seek the dose will be escalated with new cohorts. I believe when/ if they agree the dosage I will be offered a top up ‘booster’ to the agreed dosage but that is someway in the future.
To date twelve patients have been treated at four dose levels in Phase 1a, the dose escalation part of the trial. A further 24 patients will be treated in Phase 1b.William Finch, Chief Executive Officer of Oxford Vacmedix, said:"We are very pleased to have reached this important milestone in the first trial of any vaccine using the ROP technology and also very pleased with the safety and immune response results to date.
Thanks for your participation and congratulations on doing so well... I never heard back from the trial, but who knows... May your good results continue for a long, long time...
Thank you. I follow them on linked in and yesterday they appointed a new researcher so hopefully the game is on for phase 1b. They finished phase 1a after 12 participants of which I was no 12. Only 3 men apparently- my PCa cohort.
So I think it’s a pause not a stop so fingers crossed. When they restart it’s likely to be back with ovarian cancer initially though.
Congratulations on your continued membership in " The Undetectables". Like you, I believe the vaccines (like The Science) are coming !! ..and it gives us.. Hope !!!
