Otto Warburg, Nobel Prize Laureate, was ahead of his time in developing his theories on cellular metabolism and what became known as the Warburg effect. He lacked the scientific means to prove his theories and was later ridiculed by many...New developments have given us further insight :

the abstract of the article from Nature:

These findings suggest that high lactate and histone lactylation levels in macrophages may contribute to the formation of tumors and their progression.

The Science is Coming !!!

Oh noooo. Another complication. I previously wrongly deprived my bloody macrophages of the glucose they need to eat my cancer. Now my bloody macrophages are using my lactate producing exercise to fuel my bloody histones. I'm doomed... It lookes like life is fatal...

LOL... We were doomed from the beginning... The good news is that exercise releases endorphins which are anti-inflammatory and reduce one of the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse PCa--Inflammation... I think it's a positive overall.... Thanks for your reply...

It is believed that Warburg was so totally dedicated to his work that he was prepared not only to stay in Germany but also to accept the Nazi treatment of his Jewish colleagues and his Jewish relatives.

I think Warburg chose to survive and pursue his life's work-- cancer research... This article addresses some of that:

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...

I think we will never know the whole story... Is it enough that he did not participate in immoral experimentation as others did? IMHO, with his family background and being 1/2 Jewish, the answer is no...but faced with the potential to be admitted to Auschwitz and tortured, or gassed, and put into an oven, then one may question what they might do to survive...

Thanks for the information...didn't know this about Warburg...His staying in Germany probably cost him an extra Nobel prize...
