The FDA Announces Two More Antacid Recalls Due to Cancer Risk

wired.com/story/the-fda-ann...

As those of us get assailed about how dangerous and poorly controlled the supplements we take might be, it seems we may be more at risk taking big pharma products than those from reputable supplement companies. With the "Tru-ID" genetic product verification being done by Nature's Way and some other supplement companies, it seems the industry is doing on it's own what FDA seems to be having problems doing with pharma.

Well JB,

I took Zantac 300 mg for over 4 years... and now, Axid is up for possible lawsuits as well...

You would think that all meds would be shipped at a standard temperature to insure quality but what do I know about how Pharma works-- ( I do know some) ... It seems temperature control would have decreased risk significantly for these products...

For those who have taken these products for years, you have the option to join the suit....

Fish aka Q .....ROFL... Working on a Zantac look alike that is actually a magnesium based explosive...this will bring on additional law suits...

Looks like big pharma can't get a break in 2020. Re:

Diet Drug Possibly Linked to Cancer, FDA Says

Why change your diet and lifestyle when you can pop a pill and keep on eating crap food, gaining weight . . . and maybe even getting cancer in the bargain.

K9 Crusader,

Great find... Using diet drugs to keep eating crap is nonsense....I keep eating my B Sprouts every am and some celery, along with my routine foods... Eat well to be well is sound advice... People need to follow that direction--ALL IMHO.... I feel so much better with the diet and exercise changes compared to before PCa.... The old saying, "you are what you eat." comes to mind...

Be well...

Just be preapred to defend your diet modifications with this new study out. Already posted elsewhere and the usual meat-loving experts are game-on with the comments.

As many replied, there are more reasons than PCa to eat healthy... Cardiac health for instance, especially while on ADT which increases atherosclerosis.... B Sprouts and Sulforophane have been looked at in cancer in sveral studies--an example:

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...

Eating healthy has helped me lose over 40#--used to be 50#, but the darn Prednisone is not helping on that issue... That medpage study will not change what I am doing...

Be well
