Sex & psa

Anyone know how many points your psa can go up from having sex, then taking a psa test the next day? I heard a couple points. Mine went up over 5 points. I should have waited the three to four days before taking it. Now I’m a bit worried.

It is advised to not have sex before a PSA reading. Calm your worries and have another test.

My GP did not discuss it. I don't think it's more than a point or so.

I agree with having another test - very few things should be done based on a single PSA test result.

Depends on how good the sex is or was! Kind of like the Olympics when they used to hold up the grade after the performances, back in the day.

Well it must have been good because I’ve always heard it rises 1-2 points too. Mine just went up 5.5 points the day after! Not too concerned, I’ll get another one taken soon. WITHOUT having sex prior!

Thank you gentlemen
