I have a friend who just had his PSA tested and it was 8. He said he had been bicycling and running in the morning and had his blood tested in the evening. How much do these exercises actually Contribute to increased PSA?

Bicycle riding and PSA rise
Burnett1948. I recently went from 2.5 to 4.1. I was bike riding for exercise. My doctor told me not to bike ride for a week before my next PSA blood test which I had immediately. My PSA came back to 2.9. Apparently it's not just bike riding don't do anything that excites your prostate area (even if you have that your prostate cut out) prior to having your PSA.
I rode my bike to most of my blood draws (range 3.1 to 6.1 over 5 years. 20cc stage 3a tumor with PSA 6.1). PSA of 8 is pretty high - to high to be just cycling
My husband has stage IV and is on ADT and bikes a 100 miles a week (and did two 100-mile rides back-to-back days in September). Absolutely no impact on PSA. (PSA still dropping after 5 1/2 months since ex and start of treatment.) But as he is on ADT, I think that killing the T outweighs any pressure bike riding might be putting on the prostate (if I’m reading your assumption correctly that that’s what might trigger an increase).
Just saw your post and here is my experience. I ran in the morning of the day before my PSA test,,,so 24 hours before and my PSA came back at 5.5. I was headed for a biopsy but decided to have it retested and it came back at 3.1. It definitely makes a difference,,,but urologist still wants me to have a biopsy since my PSA is over 3.0.
