Please contact your senators today to support the Durbin Amendment to save all cancer research funding at the Department of Defense. Call, write or tweet using hashtag #ResearchNotRedTape. The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which will be debated in the U.S. Senate THIS WEEK, attempts to eliminate the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP) at the DOD. Research funded through this program has resulted in three new treatments for advanced prostate cancer in the last five years. Support U.S. Senator Dick Durbin to stop proposed barriers to research funding needed to find cures and better treatments for prostate cancer along with many other diseases. Please visit bit.ly/24tte8L to get your senator’s contact information.
