Coming off DLA?
Do yourself a favor think carefully as fibromyalgia is not a curable thing if you come off dla it is nearly impossible to get it back, they took mine last year I'm in pieces, struggling like hell best wishes mick
Think extremely carefully about having your DLA reviewed before it's due to be done as you may you lose it completely even if you think you should still qualify for lower rates. Think of when you last had a flare up and how long it lasted - I know I've had several in the last couple of years & each seems to get worse and last longer & each have been totally unpredictable in their onset.
If you ask for a review & then lose DLA completely you could have a fight on your hands when it comes to trying to get it re-instated & once it changes to PIP next year it's going to be even harder to qualify for.
To be honest Iwould leave things well alone. Fibro as we knows varies from day to day, you could be feeling fine now but in two months be at your worst. If you try to get it reduced they may stop it altogether and then you would be hard pressed to get back on it. Thye may look at it as if you can improve enough to have the rate lowered then you may not need it at all. I am in one long flare with my fibro being chronic, there is never a day goes by where I am not in pain of some sort. Even if I did feel better I would still expect to keep my DLA onthe grounds the Fibro is potentially disabling illness. DO not give it up until you have to is my advice xxxxx
