Am I being dim RA to me means royal acadamician but I am sure you mean something else.

Ist a form of Rhumatoid Arthritis which I believe means your joint and hands and feet swel as well as go stiff - very nasty

Fibro is pains anywhere in the body that are shooting lingering in muscles and bones. it simplistic I am sure others will give better answers xgins

Rheumatoid arthritis is a condition that causes pain and swelling in the joints. Hands, feet and wrists are commonly affected, but it can also damage other parts of the body. Rheumatoid arthritis can make your joints swell, feel stiff and leave you feeling generally unwell and tired. Symptoms usually vary over time ranging from mild to severe. The condition can sometimes be very painful, making movement and everyday tasks difficult.

When symptoms become worse, this is known as a flare-up or flare. A flare-up is impossible to predict, making rheumatoid arthritis difficult to live with.

Fibromyalgia is a chronic illness characterised by chronic widespread pain, hypersensitivity to pain (and other stimuli), chronic fatigue and sleep disturbances. Fibro is a type of chronic pain condition, but Fibro patients experience a wide range of symptoms that can wax and wane over time. Chronic widespread pain is usually the primary symptom of Fibro. This can be aches, as if you have the flu or have run a long race; it can feel like joint pain, as if you have arthritis; it can be burning pain, feeling like someone is pouring acid through your body; or it can be shooting pain, as if you are being stabbed with large needles. Cognitive dysfunction is a common problem with Fibro and is nicknamed "Fibro-fog". This can include difficulty in understanding something, difficulty in making decisions, memory loss, problems with concentration, difficulties in speaking coherently and remembering words and problems with typing or writing.

Liberty, you have just diagnosed me straight of with fibro. Yesterday i felt awful like i had flu and my memory is very poor. I have just had a moment when i can't remember what i was going to say. Overall it seems then that it is the fibro causing all my problems. Thank you very much. xx
