hi i wrote before that i applied for dla and in a less than 10days they said no so can any one tell me what to do?
You can ask for a copy of the whole file, and for the reasons behind it, put in an appeal. Did you have a medical, if not why not? Did they actually check with your GP/Specialist, when i was turned down, they had not checked with my gp nor had i had a medical. Once i insisted, it was given. good luck, but do not forget you can put in another application at any time.
thank you for this information,i dont think they had time to check with my gp,i will try to see my gp tomorrow, but i think they refuse because i did the claim myself, but do u know where to go to get help with appeal? because really im tired and cant take it any more
thank you again
Phone the DWP tomorrow and tell them you are not happy with the judgement and want to appeal.
The Citizens Advice Bureau may be able to help you - but they have faced big financial cutbacks in recent years so are not always so helpful.
The benefits and work sheets are invluable; send a message to Admin with your email address and saying that you are putting in an appeal for DLA and could you have the benefits and work sheets to help you. They will be emailed out to you.
Good luck
Julie xx
Sounds as though they've based their decision solely on the information you've given. As with all government forms it ain't what you say it's the way that you say it that gets results. You also need to provide them with as much detail about your condition and how it affects you as you possibly can and have others that know you do the same.
The information from Benefits and Work definitely helps but you really need to get yourself down to CAB or a similar organisation to obtain their assistance in sorting out an appeal.
if you think they have not read your application properly as with mine you can ask for someone else to look at it even before you have to go to appeal
good luck
