Anyone had shingles? I have painful burning pain on right rib cage back and front... No rash yet though.
it sounds like a trip to the doctor is in order believe it or not a rash is not always the sign ..please look after your self xx

I have had shingles... It sounds just like the pain you are having BUT I had big lumps come up... I thought I had a bad case of acne even though I was in my 30s they came up on my right shoulder and down the right side of my back. After 3 days of spot cream I went to gp and he said ... Very politely that's not acne that's shingles ( though I suspect he was thinking you idiot) hope you get an appt soon

YOU SHOULD GO TO DRS IMMEDIATELY. The pain is excruitating and if you dont get the anir-viral treatment within the first 48 hours I think it is then the pain can go on for years. I had years ago. When my locum GP saw it, he said he was appalled that I was refused treatment apart from painkillers. He said that considering that i had fibromyalgia and that on top, plus it went to secondary infection that he felt it was inhumane not to give me treatment. If it is SHINGLES, insist on the proper treatment regardless of cost because of your FMS. I truely wish you all the best. HUGE HUGS. xxx
Thanks guys the pain is getting worse but still no rash. Don't feel too good either. Will call in the morning and ask to be seen.

Just back from GP. Do have shingles. On Aciclovir so will be on the mend. Thanks everyone xx
I had shingles a few years ago, it came up on my forehead, my doc gave me anti-virals which cleared it up quite quickly, but for a couple of weeks I looked like a Klingon! Lol!

i've had little nodules that started to appear about 8 mo.ago. their like knots in your muscles. Pain specialist called them fibro lumps(not real scientific).They are on my ribs, front and back, and on my hip bones, both sides. they always hurt if touched, but sometimes they just hurt without touching. It feels like a heated pin that's jabbing me. the pain is so severe. all I can do is cry. Sounds a little similar to you.
