does anybody else have the problem of a swollen neck and shoulders which make them look as tho they have been weight lifting ?

hi 1963baby, i suffer with swelling to my face, jaw and eyes.

I saw my gp funnily enough about this today and he has given me anti histermines to try again. we did try before and the swellingdid ease a little but he said if it didn't settle he would look at other options.

Have you spoken to your gp about this, as you can never be sure about things swelling.

told my GP and my rheumtolgist my physiotherpist but all they say is that my fibro and trapped nerves it is hard for them to give anti-inflamatorys because they all cause me to have IBS but thanks for the comment will keep antihistermines in mind and will give them a try

If it is muscular, it could be myofascial pain related. My Trapezius muscle always looks quite big and I have my worst myofascial restrictions on that muscle.

Myofascial Pain is very common with Fibro, but it needs a different treatment approach.

I have had swelling at the back of my neck and shoulders too. I was first told by my GP that it's stress related. However, I have just had an MRI Scan and am awaiting the results ??

i have a gentle one they dont put much pressure on if you say your got fibro they should know what it is if you go to a proffessional one xxx
