A week off.

Last week I had a horrible week- daughter and grandaughter moved in complete with furniture, because they can never sort their finances (again).

I have been going back and forth for tests end examinations nothing to do with fibro but all to do with cancer and on friday I went to my nephews funeral.

My brother and his wife who came down from Scotland for the funeral took me back to the middle of nowhere for r & r. I enjoyed the mountains, scenery and wildlife and the chance to do nothing and felt well better for it. I flew home, first time on a plane for 10 yrs . One day home and I am going back and forth on hospital visiting and giving lifts because a neighbour got rushed in while I was away, and the grandaughter who moved in has lost her job..

Stress may not cause fibro but it certainly doesn't help, the aches and pains are back already.

All this stress will not be helping one little bit.

I am sorry about your nephew and i hope your tests come back clear from cancer.

You should get your daughter and granddaughter to look after you while you have them there. It sounds like thats the least you deserve. :)

Hugs, kel xxxx

I was so sorry to hear your news, I think you are right complete r& r is wonderful but cannot last forever and once you arrive home life returns to daily things, which can elevate stress and then the aches and pains begin again. I had a shock on Wednesday my fathers G.P, rang me to say he wanted to put my father on palliative care and discuss DNR with the care home he is in oh wow with Fibro and M.E. I felt terrible on Wednesday evening.

You are having a truly awful time and I feel for you. I too have far worse symptoms when I am stressed. I have found Aiki helps. It's a form of active relaxation, very very gentle and can be done from a chair. It's related to the Japanes martial art Aikido. For an hour a week, I drift away from pain and worry, even though I take my elderly mum with me, and she unwittingly is one of my major stress factors.

Thanks everyone its great to be able to let off steam a bit.

I've done my bit and taxi'ed my neighbours wife - no serious problem he is starting a gastric ulcer and will probably be coming home in a couple of days.

In the morning it is back to hospital and told to bring a driver with me.
