Hi thanks for the tip i don't take any other medication and am willing to try alternatives to prescription as i can't get away with the drowsiness associated with some medication. Thanks Lesley x
Hi I have to agree with Jules on this one , it is so imortant to check with your GP as there can be some horrific interactions between herbal medications and drugs prescribed by your GP.
I cannot understimate the importance.

hi i agree with jules 58 i started to take vit/calcium tabs that i got from the chemist itook them for 3 days along with my other meds but then someone on here said i should check with my gp to get tested to see if i was lacking in both and they could make me ill so i stopped them i may have been lucky if i had taken them it could have made me very ill jus because things are herbal doesnt mean they will help you IF you are on other meds they could react very badly so always check with your GP before you take aything love diddle x
Hi, I would never recommend a product to other people that I take myself as what I take that helps me may put someone else in hospital.
I speak from experience as I worked in a pharmacy for two years and vitamins, minerals and herbs was my special interest. I would always ask the person what their medications were so I could check interactions. For example someone came in asking for St Johns wort, and I couldn't give it them because of what their meds were. They went away and made an appointment to see their doctor.
I would honestly not recommend this herb to people already taking prescription medication. Even if you are treating yourself holistically you still need to do it under the supervision of your doctor as a lot of holistic medicines can harm too.
I'm glad it works for you.
Hugs Tracy x
I did try taking Devils Claw but it upset my stomach I suffer with IBS symtoms as do most fibromyalgia sufferers. For me the only thing that seems to help is Organic Virgin Coconut oil. Take 1 tablespoon 3 times per day, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Great for the stomach, fights yeast infection, gives energy, great for pain and it might even help you to slim as it raises your metabolism. I'm not cured but at least I've found something that helps.
Lynn I have had a look at the link- but it's an American site with medication names which aren't relevant to the UK. It is an informative site but misleading to UK residents.
I reiterate my suggestion to speak to your GP.
I just checked and most of the drugs are listed by their generic name with brand names in brackets, e.g. ranitidine (Zantac), so I think it should be clear.
It is of course quite a medical article so may be hard for some people to digest.
As I stated in my response to a message, I am a qualified medicine counter assistant, and have done a lot of research into various subjects concerning vitamins, minerals and herbs. So luckily I was able to understand the generic names, but some people as you said, won't be able to digest it.
I agree that the names can be researched, and should be fully researched before attempting to add to the piles of medication we are all taking. Hence my strong suggestion to see a doctor as they would probably know more about the possible interactions.
All of the generic names can be googled, but if in doubt, see your GP as you can't always believe what you read on the internet......
my gp is aware of this and he,s happy for me to take it as it do help i do have many other drugs i take but it affect none of them also i was a nurse before i had to give up work
RE MY DEVILS CLAW: my GP is aware and i not only have chronic fibromyalgia i had a stroke a couple of yrs ago as well as severe diverticulossis , raynauds disease i have other problems too i would not take medication without being sure of it . I was a mental health nurse for 22 years before having to give up work in 2009.
