No not had them but it one of the meds I have put on my list to discuss with doctor, I am taking amitriptyline as a relaxant and Tramadol for the pain neither of which seem to be doing much these days, I seem to have been going backwards this past 6 months so please let me know what you think of them and whether you find they help (I sure hope they do) xx (((((gentle hugs))))) Kim

lol same here used to have tramadol but had really bad head with those so put me on morphine capsules then decided on morphine patches and amitrityiline it really is trial and error for people isnt it getting the meds right love to you diddle x ps not had or heard of that one and have had quite few mixtures lol

Not sure if this is the right one - but it seems it is more a supplement that an actual medication that will relieve pain directly.

This web site says that there is little evidence for its use in treating pain. Might be worth asking your GP why he believes it is recommended - I can't find anything that says it is linked with treating fibro. However, it does sound like it may have some benefits and with apparently no side effects it isn't wrong to add it to your meds just not likely to give you proper pain relief.

I thought my Tramadol (with Naproxin and Paracetamol, high dosage) wern't doing much good as I was still in pain. HOWEVER other week I ran out of Tramadol and it was 4 days before I could get any more. OMG! did I realise the DO work for me! compared to how well in comparison I DID feel with Tramadol as apposed to when I didn't have them, I will never say I feel bad again lol.........well that might be a lie :P

Sorry guys, the meds are called Lyrica and is apparently used in treatment of fibro symptoms> My problem is that now I have changed to them I feel like a space man! The gabapentin wasn't getting rid of the pain but at least I had more of my wits about me. I am seriously unimpressed that I have to go through this again, I have had more than enough of being used as a guinea pig for trials of all these different treatments, none of which seem to work. I am getting nasty, aggressive and argumentative. My vision is getting blurry, and I have constant headaches......and to cap it all, I am in absolute agony :< I honestly don't think they know what to do for us!!! If I was going to make up something just for attention I would certainly choose something that didn't hurt so bad!! I am now so tired that I am falling asleep while sitting at the computer!! Nobody in my family understands, they just think I am being lazy... I hurt so bad I can't put my feet to the floor!! Why can't the so called boffins invent something that works for a change? Sorry guys, rant over, I feel so isolated xx
