Here is a peacock 🦚 for you. Shame that his tail isn’t fanned out though!

Male peacock on a lawn with beautiful tail draped behind him.

Love it Elaine 💕💕 you must be having the time of your life. I have a friend who immigrated to Australia. We were besties at university. I have been asked to go and stay with her in Australia 🇦🇺

She had a fair bit of travel around the world and thinks Australian is the best. I know over there there are crazy wild birds and animals …xx

I think they really know how to keep animals and birds here Cat. They do a lot of conservation and raising awareness. You should see the zoo! You can walk around where the Orangutans are and see them swinging overhead 😁🥰

Looks wonderful. I lived in Singapore when I was 5, I remember it quite well. Giant butterflies etc. At some point they sprayed the whole island with insecticide and they lost all their migratory birds. Took a while to recover but that was over 40 years ago very different now!

Can't believe they did that Cat. Glad the birds have recovered though xx

Very paranoid about hygiene in Singapore in those days, they used to cut your hair at the airport if it considered unhygienically long!

I know my friend who worked as a barrister in Singapore sued a few people for spitting in the street 🤔🤔

Yep, there's none of that. And you cannot eat or drink in the MRT Stations or the trains. They're really clean too. I was there when covid first broke out. The response was instant. Every day the buses and trains were deep cleaned and sprayed with disinfectant.

We just got out before lock down, which lasted longer than in Britain, as did the wearing of masks, which was not just in public places but at all times xx

I must say its very clean. No rubbish or graffiti in the streets 🤣♥️

They always had an impressive variety of insects maybe thats why they seem overly concerned with cleanliness. As soon as a property was empty the various creepy crawlies moved in. 😁

Eww! I'm happy to say that there's none of that now. Everything is spotless. I guess in a tropical country you have to be very clean and careful. You can't leave food out or be careless about dropping crumbs etc 😁
