Hi. I’m not medically trained but speaking from my own experience from someone who has fibromyalgia and hypothyroidism the only time my levothyroxine dose has been changed has been as a result of a blood test showing my levels have changed. This has happened rarely over the 20 years. Hope this helps a little. All the best.
I take the same dose all the time and have blood test every year and it only changes if needed hope this helps x
Good morning Laura - from memory Doctor Barry Durrant-Peatsfield used to say have a little more in the winter, as we tend to feel the cold it just helps, I could never do this because of my trouble with the medication - his book was great, full of helpful info
Hi. I have hypothyroidism as well as fibromyalgia and the only time my dose would change would depend on the results of my blood test. I have a blood test about every six months.
I am hypothyroid, and I always have to have a higher dose in the winter. I start losing hair and either feel hot or cold without an increase. Sometimes my levels look o.k. but my endocrinologist basically goes by how I am feeling also.
I've been on Levothyroxine for about 6 years and my dose has never changed. I take 50mg daily and have regular blood test well at least once a year , occasionally twice a year. I hope this helps .
Hi, I’ve had hypothyroidism for 25 years and also have fibromyalgia. The only time the dose has changed in all the time was just after a pregnancy and a blood test. I have a blood test once a year
