Trying to get a diagnosis.: Hi I was... - Fibromyalgia Acti...
Trying to get a diagnosis.
Morning, best place to start is to see your doctor, make a list of these symptoms, and also when did you start feeling this way, the hair loss etc, it wil give your doc a better picture of what’s going on, they normal get you to have some blood tests like they do with most symptoms, my doctor did this to rule out anything else , saw him for a few appointments, I reacted to pressure points tests on certain parts of my body as well. I was diagnosed by my doc, some people are sent to a rheumatologist for further investigation, good luck and should you get a fibro diagnosis come back and visit here on the forum.
George some of your symptoms are associated with Fibromyalgia, it affects Individuals differently as does medication, never been affected by hair loss Also Fibromyalgia and ME are extremely difficult to to separate. As symptoms very similar, only tests and their evaluation will determine which
Condition you may have.
Main thing is to seek help and start the ball rolling, as your GP for a referral.
Might be a wait under current circumstances with COVID though.
Good luck and stay safe.
Hi and a warm welcome to our community. Here you will find information support friendship and laughter too. You can find general information on fibromyalgia at our main website fmauk.org
Fibromyalgia pain generally affects the whole body, whereas it sounds like only your lower body is affected. Also hair loss is not a core symptom, although some people do report it happening to them.
Keeping a pain/symptom diary for a couple of weeks can be useful, before speaking to your gp as it lets them see the bigger picture of what is going on
