Been called for a ring appointment I claim just the basic haven’t had it a year , got told it was 3 years. Got the letter Christmas Eve , these people have no hearts I’m still getting over covid. It’s for the first work in jan because I can’t remember what I said I can’t even remember yesterday. Not that I’m lying in fact it’s got a lot worse. I just can’t cope . I had to give up a really good job I’m a single mum of 2 and don’t know what to do? They are asking for people who help me numbers? At the min I’ve got a chest infection and bronchitis. They said the dwp asked I’m really really lost. Can someone pls help. I’ve had 2 days out of bed this week . I had to do my present shopping on line & big shop which my dad collects. I don’t want everyone dragging into it.

Can't remember, did you contact your MP's Caseworker?Give them a ring asap. You should get a phone call back.

Did you list your own points for each daily living activity and getting around ?

Try phoning your MP's office and ask to speak to the Caseworker? As advised query this?

Try to get in touch with the person who helped you over the phone? (Was that a Welfare Benefits Adviser?)

Maybe this is nothing to be too concerned about but no way of knowing really ??

Try & get hold of the same person you spoke to before in Welfare support. Phone the Town hall from 8.30 am onwards.

Also - what's your MP like?

Try phoning your MP's local office. You may get an answer phone message but do leave your number and ask for an urgent call back from the Caseworker. Ask if this seems right to them - to be awarded PIP for three years and then have this letter arrive on Christmas Eve.

And why ask these questions now.

Unfortunately, we are not qualified to offer benefits advice and or helpline is closed until 6/1/21

If you were awarded it for 3 years and that was only a year ago, I would suggest phoning the DWP (they should be open Tues next week) to check if there has been an error somewhere.
