Tuning Fork Therapy

I don’t know if anyone else has tried this? It vibrates on the meridian line for pain. I could hardly lift my arm any more than 6” In any direction due to the pain, The vibration firstly made my pain come to the surface going from the tips of my fingers into the top of my arms, It felt very uncomfortable to start with, I normally have very poor sleep, but my pain eased and I had the best nights sleep I’ve had in years!! 😊😊😊

I’ve not heard of this, but if it helps, it’s worth looking into. Just wondering what type of training the practitioner has ?

Hi, well you do have to have training as any other therapy. Crystal & Himalayan singing bowls & Gongs are very relaxing giving muscles Relief.

Take care x

I have had it too and as you say it brings the pain on really intensified mine but was the most relaxed I had felt in a very long time. Unfortunately for me it doesn’t help in the long run but it was a pleasurable experience and I would definitely have it done again when Covid disappears :)

Hi - thanks! I'm interested...

The Youtube-tutorials I've found seem pretty esoteric, first flailing the tuning forks around a bit like reiki. <Insomnia Relief With A Tuning Fork> seems more like hypnosis and imagining Short tutorials in German show some exact acupuncture points, e.g. <stimmgabeltherapie schlafstoerungen> for sleep and <stimmgabeltherapie - selbsthilfe bei alltagsbeschwerden> for anxiety. Can't find one for pain, but in one it says put the vibrating tuning fork at the place in your body where you have the highest tension.

Just have to find my tuning fork now! :-) Hmm - they're say they use up to 25 different types... I'll only try mine tho...

Lol, You certainly don’t need 25! you can get by with 2 for doing treatments, if you choose to have more for specific treatments that’s fine The Hz are different on each one but for pain you only need one. For pain it’s on the hand. Yes you can put it where your getting pain but there are contraindications to using them.

I would recommend you try a treatment to experience The feel if you can.

Good luck

It’s something That needs to continue with as with any natural treatment It takes time. Hope you get to use it again. X

Yes the pain isn’t the nice bit 🙁, but I relish a better nights sleep afterwards 😊 I do it for 10mins every night and I feel the benefit.

Take care

You do it yourself? I went to a therapist, I was very relaxed. It was pleasant and I would definitely have it again

Yes, I’m an Holistic Therapist And Sound Therapist so I do it to myself so I know it works.

Hope you give it a go again, I know some of these treatments can be expensive though. You might ask the if they could just give you treatment for pain & possibility use an aromatherapy oil It could be a 30 min treatment? and you could massage yourself until next treatment or see if they would sell you one for your personal use.

Again you would have to look at contraindications.

Good luck

Thank you, sounds like a plan going forward. I always say if it helps it’s never too much money! X

i've had sound therapy baths in the past, which have included tuning forks among other things like singing bowls, gongs etc

I found them very relaxing, and in turn the relaxation helped to ease some of my pain levels short term
