I speak on here a lot about research and am often contradicting people from my position as a member of FMA UK and my experience of dealing with medical and research professionals. I am not always right of course and will admit when that is the case.
But I try to differentiate between fact and my opinion and the charity's opinion when these are different. It is important to differentiate from fact and opinion especially when it is related to healthcare or science. Theories can be wrong but only when a better theory comes along with evidence to improve the situation. Hypothesises are informed guesses that may become theories when they have some evidence.
But back to the link above I think it is helpful to remember there is a difference between these words and while having an opinion is great, it does not override a fact.
