Benefits and work
Hello and welcome! May I suggest that you contact the fmauk.org Benefits Helpline on 0300 999 0055 which is available in Monday and Friday morning from 10 - 12.00. You may also consider contacting Citizens advice, but not sure how they are working with the current virus situation. Take care xx
Thank you x
Phlebo123 face a good reply. Our Fibro benefits advisor is good. With our present state of uncertainty due to Covid some benefits will take longer to process.
PIP works on a points criteria.A site called Benefits and work is helpful source about OIP It's independent of this forum and nothing to do with DWP.
Gentle hugs
Thank you x
Thanks this all new to me appericate everyones help x
Have you applied for a rent rebate from your council, you should get a fair amount of it paid for you x
I have applied for exceptional hardship fund also a discretionary housing payment I was advice to do this by citizens advice so just waiting game now but thank you for advice
no new claims for housing benefit it will be uc
Yes that's write I've had go on universal credit as all benefits are changing over to uc.
I’d go to go and get on the esa .sick it’s better than us .i think .if you get esa you go in either support group or work group if they decide support group you don’t look for a job £73 pounds a week .if you go in work group you see a work coach .but better getting advice but if yor unfit for work you usually go for esa sometimes you get help with rent and universal credit ..I’d go to welfare rights or cab .you can apply for pip but your better gettting someone to help with form .but you are allowed us or esa and pip but you need to apply for esa or ucc as well that’s your benefit after you stop working your entitled to one of these .get advice first .as soon as you can but if you feel you are not fit to work I’d get sick line of of doctor .
The advance payment is a loan .when you get universal credit but when you get your first payment Jc they take your loan of to.you don’t get any money for first five weeks on us that’s why they offer you advance but esa you get money when your sick note gets assessed .really if you’ve just stopped work esa would be better but get advice first .sometimes your health centre has people who give you welfare advice in there ask health centre .usually wit pip your usually claiming one of the other benefits as well for evryday living .pip is monthly on top of that but it does not affect your other benefit .
Hello, reference PIP, it normally takes up to 8 weeks to hear back about your PIP assessment date once you have sent in the application form with your supporting documents, evidence and information.
Go to citizens advice you have to make appointment but they sorted my friends benefits out quickly. As for fibro had it 14 yrs its dreadful illness I've just had treatment at Simply Treatment after trying everything and pain getting worse takes 4 weeks for full effect praying in works
