Morning all, this may sound silly and I'm not sure how to explain my question but here goes!!!!!

People that are going to die of an illness are called terminal, what are we? We have an illness that isn't going to kill us (I'm only 6 months in to my diagnosis so I may be wrong and some days I wish it would), so what's it called when an illness is life long, life altering and incurable?

Sending love

Sarah xx

It very much depends on the condition. With fibromyalgia a long term chronic description is normally applied. My own rheumatologist will often describe a flair as an acute on chronic episode. Basically to give clarity to when the symptoms become more severe.
