I have fibro and psoriatic arthritis and they’ve upped my Gabapentin and my Methotrexate still isn’t helping with the pain JUST giving me strange whispering sounds in my head and like I am seeing things. Has anyone been through anything like this before? Have you got a good pain relief medication that’s works amazingly ??

healthunlocked.com/fibromya..., hi there and welcome, I would see your doctor and explain what is happening to you since the change in medication. I’ve posted a link if you would like to lock your posts as it gives you more privacy and only our members can see. Take care I hope you get some answers soon as to why this is happening. For me personally certain meds have not gone so well but trial and error and I feel much better at the moment with my current medication.

Hi. I too have fibromyalgia and psoriatic arthritis, I also take methotrexate. Currently on tramadol, gabapentin, Paracetamol for pain control. Am under physio for osteoarthritis, need 2 new hips. Exercises are making fibromyalgia flare. The pain clinic wasn't a lot of help. They downed the tramadol and upped the gabapentin. I ended up in worse pain. So I downed the gabapentin upped the tramadol and use a tens machine and heat pad. I find a little walking helps but can't go far and try to keep as active as I can that day. Still walking the floor at 3am in tears with pain but if I need extra tramadol then I take it, stuff the consultant. Ask your consultant if u can go on tramadol and down the dose of gabapentin and whether he will increase ur methotrexate. Everyone reacts differently to each meds. For me gabapentin gives me dreadful muscle pain and spaced out feeling, for others it seems to work. If ur gp is sympathetic talk to them about pain control before you see the consultant. Good luck and gentle hugs xx

You could ask your doctor for a butec patch it works really well and you can take this with gabapentin.
