Hi Valerie,

Try and get some help with filling in your form, and send as much evidence as you can.

Good luck x

Good luck, because the PIP system is nothing like the DLA one!

Please don’t build your hope up with this new pip as it’s harder to get than the old dla. I was on high rate dla for many years when first diagnosed and now with pip I get less money and have lost my car.

Go to the Benefits Officer at the Town hall. It's all about how you fill it in. I did my own ESA and lost it (got it back at Court). The lady said I filled it in wrong, sounding like I could sometimes do things and that lost it for me. Got the PIPS because I got help filling it in. Don't do it yourself.

If you do attempt the forms yourself, make sure you read this free guide and take account of the points scores

Remember that they are not really interested in the medical condition(s) you suffer from. No medical condition is an automatic passport to PIP unless you are terminally ill. What matters is your ability to undertake Daily Living tasks and your level of Mobility. Focus on how your condition(s) affect the things you can score points for.
