Good afternoon you wonderful lot

Just a quick question.

Has anyone bought into herbal tablets that supposedly 'cure' Fibro?

I am prepared to try anything but want other people's experiences/opinions.

My GP, husband and Daughter all feel that as chronic sufferers we can easily fall for scams 😠

Thanks peeps and have a lovely rest of your Sunday xxx

To be honest if it cured Fibo it would be Prescribed by GPs

Yes unfortunately their are lots of people selling ‘snake oil’ and providing information on their websites designed to get you to buy a product. They even cherry pick certain info from research to use to try to convince you to buy a product, when there may well be other research saying the contrary.

It can be very difficult to know what sites to trust and always best to check information, question why they may be saying something for their own benefit (plus websites usually have a cart or shopping basket) and check sites for marks like the Information Standard that FMAUK (& other charities) & NHS Choices have etc as they are bound by them to ensure information is correct.

Is there something specifically you’ve seen that you’d like to ask about? Always best to ask on communities like this so you’ve done the right thing.

Hope this helps

Emma :)

Thanks Emma. I can't remember exactly what they are called but they are herbal.

Think I'll stick with losing weight, hydro pool and walking! Xx

No problem some herbal things may help reduce symptoms but if it’s all these Fibrogone etc I think the jury is still out on the benefit of them :)

The minute I see the words *cure fibro * I steer well clear...... Some herbal remedies may help ease some of the symptoms but don't go by testimonies on a website or advert, you have no way of knowing if they are genuine or made up xxx

This is so right lots of people are either paid to review things or are the people associated with the site reviewing etc :) You have to be so careful now and this post is a good one to inform people about this. Thanks for posting Hidden :)

Hi, from what I have read it will not be easy for gp to prescribe cbd as they have to have spent time studying it in full and will also have to pay a lot of money for a license to prescribe it.

I would get some from health span to try as I think you will have a long wait.

I have used Cbd for years and find it very good but you need to buy on recommendation. There are many good suppliers and i find them all good.

I think even though CBD Oil can now be prescribed I am assuming the UK GPs will have guidelines to assess certain medical conditions and if it can be effective. I am thinking they will not be given it to everyone with chronic pain even though I think they should seriously consider it's benefits. We need research on it's benefits for chronic pain Fibro etc and it could help to avoid a UK Opioid & High Risk medication crisis like USA! :)

I've seen loads of these, especially the ones that say that they have been cured, it all gets so confusing so I don't read them any more gentle hugs 🙏 xx
