Hi All,
I’m now to this forum. I was wondering if anyone is taking gabapentin. I’ve been taking it for a few weeks and I feel like it is slowly working but I wanted to know how it worked for others? Thanks! Lisa
Hi All,

Thanks! I feel like they are slowly working! Fingers crossed!
Hi, I’m now on quite a high dose of gabapentin. It did take a while for the side effects to settle down and for me to see an improvement in my condition, but they have helped me 😊 fingers crossed for you that they help you xx
Hi welcome to the forum. I take gabapentin and it does help me. Some of my symptoms it helps were my jumpy twitchy muscles on my back and legs. It also helps with my nerve pain but not completely. Nite🌜. Chris
Hello, was on Gabapentin several times and different doses, didnt help me at all. But everyone is different so hopefully it will help you.
Unfortunately I'm having to reduce my Gabapentin because of side effects. I'm on quite a high dose, but reducing to half to see if it relieves the side effects. Hope it works for you
Im on gabapentin and im on 1200 a day and its not working at all. But im not on the highest yet.
I’ve found it helpful but it took a while to build up in my system and get the dose right. Stay with it a little while before deciding it’s not working unless you have awful side effects. It does make you tired initially but it lessens as you get used to them
Hi lisy ive had gabapentin for years .for various things .been told to take more to help me now .the answer is they dont work .i once came off them and became very ill .was told it was withdrawell and to keep on them they are an adiction after so long .im on co codomel 30/500 now aswell and they dont help so i just plod along .hopefully these tabs will work for you x
I’ve been on them 2 years and did help I’m on 2700 a day, they did work but don’t feel they are at moment. I am however going through a few other health issues so not ruled them out yet. Good luck and it’s a slow process to build up on them.
Hi Lisa. That's good news. I'm glad it's helping you. I just started taking Gabapentin this week. I'm on 300mg which I take once a day. I decided to take at night before I go to sleep because it causes drowsiness. I've noticed that I'm sleeping better and not waking up as many times as I did before due to the pain. However, I'm feeling a bit tired during the day and still in a lot of pain. It's also increased my appetite so I'm eating a bit more even though I feel nauseous all the time.
Thanks! I started taking them 3 weeks ago and was on 300mgs. I went to the dr last week and he increased them to 900mgs. I feel a bit tired during the day but I feel all quite euphoric by the time I take the second tablet. I’m taking mine morning, afternoon and night. I hope they work for you!
It seems it but apparently you can go upto 3600 but I refuse and slowly reduce and up when it allows as well as co-codamal.....I hate taking tablets but as I’ve been blessed with this brill ill health (yes sarcasm) i have to learn to rattle 😂 they don’t exactly work but I’m back in Aug to pain clinic so maybe after my long wait a wonderful miracle cure might have been found 😀😀😀 we live in hope and all that jazz!! S x
Me too ajay575 it’s a battle to get on an even keel though isn’t it?
Hi, I take 2700mg not sure if they are working or not to be honest. I take various other meds as well , so I don't know what I can suggest to you.
