It is a bit difficult to tell from your photo but I are there red crusty patches with silvery scales? I ask as two of my friends have it and that is what the affected patches look like. If they are stressed or have another infection it seems to get worse. Neither of them have it in their foot but that doesn't mean you can't have it there but it is more unusual from what I have heard. There are treatments that can help.

It sounds as though the rheumi had suspicions of arthritis. Could you ring his secretary and say that with all the stress and pain you totally forgot about this rash and don't know whether it is significant.?x

Hi my friend

It is a little difficult to see the image fully but I have been online looking at images of this and it could well be? I agree with rosewine and ring their secretary tomorrow and see if you can make another appointment? I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please take care of yourself my friend.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

Hello debra- only just seen your plight regarding Psoriasis, I speak as a mother and sister of 2 sufferers, I took my sister to a Dermatologist after she tried numerous creams given by gp. I am sorry to advise but the Dermatologist says Psoriasis is a stress related problem! As for Psoriatic Arthritis, the 2 are not connected,, P.A shows no rash just very painful joints in our body. In my sisters case she drank a bottle of wine per night to unwind from work stress, since she has stopped the rash has started to deplete, she was terrible for taking the hard tops off the sores thus exposing the raw skin to the eliments and causing further infection. My daughter had just been through divorce and had the rash on her hands and feet, her gp gave her a course of steroids to clean out her blood, and advised her not to drink alcohol, 2 very different ways to help with the problem but to get a referral to Dermatology your gp has to do it or you need to book a private appt. Private might be a waste of money as they will probably tell you the same as my sister.Maybe take stock of what is making you stressed or anxious and discuss this with gp.
