Hi kimzie welcome to the forum, I'm sure you will love it as we all do ☺

I have had it for about that long also. I also used to work for nursing agencies, so we have something in common. I know how hard that can be without having Fibro. It used to nearly kill me.

You should go check out the main site where you will find lots of info on Fibro & some useful links.

fmauk.org/

Look forward to chatting with you.

Peace, luv n light

Ahh Scotland, never been to Edinburgh, It's somewhere I would like to visit though, my parents have been a couple of times & loved it. My mum even bought us kilts back.

I'm probably the furthest away from you that I possibly could be lol..I'm in South Devon, on the coast, its beautiful, I'm 5 mins from beach ☺☺☺

Hugs straight back 🙇 x

wow... Haha.. I've always dreamed of visiting Devon, and so jealous you're 5 mins from the beach. I love the beach. We have a beach in Edinburgh too called Portobello. X

hello bluebell99 thankyou for your welcome and nice meeting you 😊 x

Hi Kimsie i dont really know when my fibro started it just gradually built up over the years. I do know that it was at least 30 yrs ago. Half of my life. I never thought of it like that before. :O

Oh and i am in the middle of you and Janet28 im near Brum.

Welcome to the site. :)

Hi Hidden yes I know what you mean, it does build up over time. Mine started not long after I had a hysterectomy. I was very ill & had lots of antibiotics.

I know 30 yrs is a long time to be in pain my friend. I know brum well, i lived in Northampton for many years & 2 of my daughters still live there. Xx

in reply toJanet28

I avoid brum even though it is just a bus ride away. I used to like the German xmas market until fatigue stopped me walking.

I do use a powered wheel chair but the hassle of getting there just to see peoples bums, its just not worth it. :P

Hello kimzie

Welcome to the forum :) It's lovely to meet you.

Even though you have had Fibro for such a long time (I was diagnosed in 1980) you will still find that you will learn so much more here on the forum.

Have a look at our mother site fmauk.org

The forum tends to be a little quieter over the weekends but you will find it busier during the week.

You might like to look into locking your posts. Here is a link to explain how to do this:

I look forward to getting to know you better.

Wishing you less pain and more peace
