Hello All,

Thank You for the ME definition and many can relate it to their Fibro symptoms!

People do find the two conditions can be fairly synonymous often with very similiar symptoms, however there are key findings found in Fibromyalgia which can be found here;

fibroaction-public.sharepoi...

I have also read somewhere that the HPA Axis (hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal axis) is overactive in Fibro & underactive in ME/SEID. I will try and find this piece of research as it is interesting. Has anyone else read this?

However, this being said the difficulty of diagnosis and misdiagnosis still remains as the criteria for diagnosis can lead to people with Fibro being diagnosed with ME/SEID and vice versa. I wonder if the research is leading towards the HPA Axis being overactive (hyper) in Fibro & underactive (Hypo) then do pople diagnosed with both swing between the two states?

All very interesting :)

Best Wishes

Emma :)

Thank you all,

I am grateful that there is research going on and that I am not 'imagining' all of these things. Spending my Saturday trying to stay awake and wondering why I cannot!

Hugs to you all!
