I am on venlafaxine for nerve pain. It is also commonly used for depression.

That's a really high dose, I'm on 37.5 morning/evening and you get withdrawal from that, be careful.

I've been on it for years. The highest dose you can have is 350mg a day, so not sure if your dose is a typo.

That has to be a mistake......I've been on venlafaxine and I came of with docs guidance because it didn't suit me, but you'll only know by trail and error (hopefully not error) but I'd definitely question that dosage!! Hope all goes well and you get relief from it xx

I was on 225 now on 150 .... Been on it for years. Big hugs x

I was on 350 mg of venlafaxine for depression and anxiety and I found it caused me a lot of problems. I ended up drinking 5-6 litres of fluid per day and sweating until I was wringing wet. Also coz it has a short half life I used to start getting withdrawal after missing a dose by 2 hours. The worst of the withdrawal effects was "brain zaps" a kind of electric shock in the head. I had to be taken off of them and be put back on fluoxetine. You may find it different but I hope 1255 mg is a typo!! I couldn't handle 350 mg so would assume you're on 125 mg.

Yes, I sure do and I will give that drug the highest praises of all. I wish that I would have stuck to that drug forever but I had to treat my restless legs and some hard panic attacks that came up that venlafaxine couldn't but good for nerve pain - yes, very much so so it will work for fibro also it worked for back pain and body pain in general. This was my experience. I had a year of it. It was supposed to work through the panic attacks - it did sometimes. It was supposed to help with RLS - sometimes. I give it a low grade on that one. Good luck to you.
