Hi larissa
I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? I have pasted you a link for a full price and breakdown for what you have requested. Most of the companies are pretty much the same with their charges but it is always worth shopping around? But this will give you a good idea, as there are massive regional differences which are highlighted on the site.

Hi, it varies from hospital and how you are paying - there are different prices for going through insurance or if self funded.
I had MRI and saw Neuro last year to rule out MS and my work kindly paid, so classed as self funded. It came to around £1,500-£2,000. I was quoted about £200 per consultation plus £700-£1,200 for scan.
You will need to pay for an initial neuro consultation, the MRI itself (they charge per section - I had brain & spine so 2 sections) and follow up consultation.
I would suggest that you phone your local private hospital with a neuro dept and ask them for a quote. You will still need to have a referral from your GP, but you can tell your GP that you will go private & the name of the neuro & hospital you want to be referred to.
Good luck & hope info of help to you x
Whether you are seeing consultants privately whether paying yourself or using insurance it is helpful to have your GP onside. MRI costs have come down over the last few years as there are more scanners available but obviously cost will be determined by what you need scanned. Consultant's fees have gone up and vary from one to another. If you need blood tests or other tests they can be very expensive. And they may then want to refer you on to someone else.
Unfortunately private medicine is a minefield even if you have insurance as they won't pay up half the time. Ours is finished now my husband is retiring so will be NHS reliant. But some of my friends have seen consultants privately to avoid the initial wait, then had the tests done on the NHS and gone back to discuss them, so that avenue would be worth thinking about.
Hope you get something sorted. Good luck xx
