Panicky with Lyrica? Hi all, I,ve been on 300mg of Lyrica for several months with no side effects.

I,ve needed more pain relief so I,ve been put up to 450mg in three daily doses, about three weeks ago. Suddenly I,ve got major panics for no reason at all, has anyone else had this with Lyrica? I think I,d rather go back to 300 if it's the extra dose that,s doing it. Xxx

Hi wildwoman, I'm on 400mg lyrica, 200mg am & pm. Gp recently increased dose, only probs I had was being hungry, thirsty and tired. I have had panic attacks before, but not recently. Mainly had them at night when I couldn't sleep. Convinced myself that I was having a heart attack. Had ecg at docs, & it was fine, so I just remind myself of that when I feel an attack coming on. Hi Wildwoman I have been on Lyrica 400gr at night 100 in morning and today i was told the maximum you should have is 600 total so I am to try 300 night and three morning I think I shall keep my 4oo at night and have 200 in the morning I am told that is all to combat my pain this particular Dr didnot understand that tegretol covers different nerve pain what I was hoping for was something else instead of tegretol This bunnies not happy ! I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? I am so sorry to read that you are having issues with panic at this time, and I genuinely hope that you find some resolution and relief to the issue.

I think if I were you I would return to discuss the issue with my GP, and explain exactly what you have said here? Your GP will know best on this matter. If it is the Pregabalin then he / she can reduce it and maybe give you something extra instead. If it is nothing to do with the Lyrica, then at least you can discuss things with him / her?

Hey wild woman... I have had fibro since '97. Docs have given me Lyrica, just made me nauseous and irritable. Savella was even worse. Did you know they first prescribed Lyrica for Diabetes??? It did not work, obviously, and then tried us... Well, I do not know if you gave seen the latest commercials for Lyrica, they are attempting the Diabetes angle... Yet again!
