Can't get a diagnosis
Hello Maisie1,
It sounds like you have been chasing a diagnosis for some time and I can imagine how frustrating this can be. I would consider asking your GP for a Rhuematolgy referral to discuss your symptoms further.
To be honest widespread pain is usually one of the primary symptoms of Fibromyalgia, which you say you haven't experienced. Here is a link to a series of information factsheets 'All about Fibro' which may be helpful;

Of course, only a medical professional can diagnose whatever is causing your symptoms through tests, physical examination and Xrays/MRI/Scans etc. Here is a link to how 'Fibro is diagnosed', as you can see many other conditions are investigated before Fibro is diagnosed;

It is possible you could any one of these or Fibro so therefore a referral to a Rhuematologist to discuss your symptoms, your medical history, previous investigations & blood tests would be beneficial in my opinion.
I hope you get the answers you need as I do remember the time spent asking the GP's for help and requesting second opinions. It was a time where I felt dismissed yet I knew something was wrong and felt like nobody was listening to me.
We are always here to listen, so please do let us know how you get on. If you need anymore information on Fibromyalgia please feel free to look at our website fibroaction.org
All the best

Hi Maisie1
I am so sorry to hear of your plight at the present time and I sincerely hope that you can find an answer to your problems. I think what Mdaisy has written is a great place to start. Is your GP understanding of your situation? If so it will make it a lot easier to get any referrals necessary.
Please take care and hoping things get better for you soon.
