I'm 27...but felt I needed glasses to read the font...gad to squint up to the iPad! Lol

Morning Foggy, Gins hope you are wrapped up snug...it's all wet outside. I've had one toast and the much fabled honey plus a large cup of tea, hot water, and Sue the cat.

:) xx

I didn't eat the hot water bottle or cat...just to clarify only the tea and toast!

Sue us safely tucked up in her basket by the French door, watching the world go by...

Morning Zosie :-). You had me worried for a moment there ;-) glad that Sue is not swallowed and is sitting safely watching the world go by :-) I am half way through my first coffee and it's nearly midday, struggling with my back brace takes ages, the doglets were walking around with their legs crossed !! Am now ensconced in my felting sitting in (and I do mean in :D )my super dooopa bean baggy thing, thank goodness for it, without it I doubt I'd be able to sit at all, the only other sitting thing is my sofa which is a tad difficult getting on and off atm., also the doglets have claimed it as their own and are stretched out taking up as much of it as they can hehehehe. Hope you're feeling not too bad today ? :-)

Yes, rest assured that the catlet is safe ^. .^

What does 'my felting sitting in' mean? I heard you mention your back brace before. It sounds like a struggle for you, yet you are so jolly and brave. May I ask what happened to your back?

I am feeling so much better, my mood in particular. So apart from being vaguely offended by a pre-pubescent GP who hadn't heard of Fibro, I'm doing good!

I'm secretly hoping last week was the peak of my flare up.

So le doglets...what are their names? I would like to be introduced!!

Xoxo

Fibrofoggiest in reply toZosie

Right, I do felting, which is making either pictures or (for me) little animals and flowers out of sheep fleece so that they end up like felt !

My back has been an ongoing problem, I've always had problems with it, but in the last 7 years I've had 3 ...now 4 compression fractures. (I have osteoporosis even tho I'm not ancient hehehehe ) and I have a vertebrae out in my neck, but I can't be manipulated to get it back because of the risk of a fracture, a no win situation ho hum !!

Now on to the doglets, they are Mr Benjamin who is chief of security and senior citizen (he's a jack x yorkie) and then there is Poppie who is a tiny weeny jack russell, I rescued her two years ago, she had been a brood bitch on a puppy farm and had four litters in five years, how I will never understand as she's so small ! She has gone from being a quivering wreck when I first got her to being a really wicked monkey, in the nicest of ways, she has a real sense of humour and she adores Mr B (mostly methinks because she can use him as a head rest :D ) so I feel very blessed to have them both, they give me reason to push on......even when I'm feeling ghastly !

I really do hope that you are over the worst of your flare and that you can now find some freedom from the pain as time goes on. I sending huge amounts of healing positive vibes your way :-) and it is so nice to have you around :-)

Mr Benjamin sounds awesome :) Sue does go on patrol but when faced with a threat (spiders etc) she gets bored and wanders off.

Foggy, you are one of the bravest I know. You really do deserve your member of the month badge. It's nice having you to talk to too xoxo

Aww thank you Zosie, that's far too kind of you, I would have replied earlier but I've been locked out of the forum for most of the afternoon and only just come back on within the last hour or so, so please forgive me, I wasn't being rude and not replying !! :o

Sorry, realised you are working on your felt creations whilst sitting in your bean bag, or being devoured by it more like!! Silly me and my slow brain...I feel like Pooh sometimes...a fibromite with very little brain...

My back and neck are still pretty painful but oramorph is helping a bit methinks. My brace is a neoprene 24 inch deep belt like thingy with elasticated straps which you pull tight so that it is stabilising my lower spine round L 4 where I've got the compression fracture. I go for my first calcitonin injection later this aft .......love it...every weekday for six weeks.......can't wait !!

Btw what are fluffies and how does one go about acquiring one? Are they good or bad?

in reply toZosie

When I feel blue or in lots of pain I surround myself in purple fluffiness and get onto my very non-moving, virtual of course, purple fluffy couch and submerge myself into the softness until I feel safe, warm and in not so much pain and sadness again.

There's a full range of fluffies to give out to help ease the pain and sadness.

There are fluffy cuddles, fluffy cuddle couches, cushions, fluffies for snuggling and recliners which are also programmed to omit lovely scents of your choosing.

Imagine reclining in pure fluffy softness whilst smelling sweet vanilla, musky lavender or cheeky chocolate?!

Which would you choose? what scents would you like and what would be your colour of choice?

:) xxxzebxxx :)

Zosie profile image
Zosie in reply to

I would choose a white cool cotton and lace fluffie...it would smell like my childhood cuddly toy. Xoxo

in reply toZosie

That's lovely and neutral zosie

When in pain or feel sad think of that and keep it in your mind

Imagine the fluffie is wrapping you up cosy and safe.

Feel the warmth increase and gently rise from your feet up over.......... let it engulf you and breathe long and deep repeat the breathing twice more and feel yourself relaxing, slowly of course! when you are ready slowly bring yourself back.

Hopefully it helps :) Fluffies are relaxation and comforting tools that I thought were soft and easy to picture in the mind.

Hope you like zosie

Hey I'm not getting all notifications just a select few and I've been in touch with the techies a few times since the platform change.

Also, is it so wrong that I'm still in bed in my jim jams with the curtains closed to keep the draughts off and I therefore have no idea what its doing outside? :o :o :o heheheh!

Lazy coo I am today and I really don't care lalalalalalala heheheh!

Hope everyone is ok sending warming waterproof fluffies for you all as well as as calming, relaxing healing ones too

Zeb, I love the jimmie jams and wear mine all the time and as I am light sensitive I keep my curtains shut a lot...rendering me with the nickname 'lord of darkness' from my brother when I was a teenager. I also lie to shut the nosy people out as my house is partially overlooked! So bring it on I say....there should be National Pajama Day :)

in reply toZosie

Excellent news I'm not alone then :D

Yippee for jim jams :D

We are having a children in need 24 hr skittleathon in the village pub, I'm not participating other than being a standby for scoring,we all have to wear pj's, we did it some years ago and it was so so funny, and people brought their teddy bears too, it was really good fun :D :D Of course being an insomniac par excellence I did the entire night shift, then staggered all of the 800 yards to my cottage and slept soundly, only to find out later the team I was on won and I missed the whole prize giving......oh dear what a pity , never mind, hehehehe was quietly very pleased to have avoided it.

in reply toFibrofoggiest

Sounds like fun Foggy :D :D :D

I could do a jamathon easy hehehehehe! LOL
