Hello Skittles,
I would like to say that if your local Pharmacist has dispensed these pills I think you can be happy in the knowledge they are the same with no difference at all and it could be highly likely that the 'blue' ones are made by a different supplier/brand.
However, if you have any concerns regarding medications that cannot wait until speaking to a qualified Healthcare provider or Pharmacist tomorrow please telephone NHS Direct. Please see link below as often people think that the service is not available for these calls;
'NHS Direct employs a small team of pharmacist advisors to provide expert medicines advice. The team works during the evenings, weekends and bank holidays when we receive the most calls about medicines. This is mainly due to other services, such as GP surgeries, being unavailable at these times' NHS Direct quote from link below

If in any doubt, please consider withholding the medication until you have spoken to a knowledgeable Healthcare professional.
I hope this helps
Emma
Its probably just a different supplier....pharmacies tend to buy in what their warehouse has had the best deal on its all down to cost (am a trained dispensing tech) also just check there's mo MR or CR or SR after name amd strength as these are different x

In the UK, slow release oxycodone 5mg tablets are prescribed as "OxyContin 5mg" which are always BLUE, regardless of the supplier. White OxyContin are 10 mg in the UK. If you have previously had a white 5mg tablet, it must have been regular instant release oxycodone, and as someone mentioned above, it may also have contained paracetamol. The main difference is that the blue OxyContin will release more slowly in your system, and so do not help as much when instant pain relief is needed for pain flares- you basically get a weaker dose as the medication is released over a period of several hours rather than all at once. Hope that helps x
