i have very swollen hands and feet ha... - Fibromyalgia Acti...
i have very swollen hands and feet having accupuncture for hands but my feet not good like walking on boils. any ideas 2 help cool them down
Hi I understand just how awful this can be as I have Lymphodema in my feet and legs. There are a couple of ways you can cool them first place them in cool water for a while well as long as you can stand it. Then when you sit down ensure your feet are raised on a stool or even over the end of the sofa
They should be higher than your heart but that is not always feasible. I keep mine on a cushion on a stool . You get used to it does make a difference but you must be religious about it.
That means every time you sit down.
Will it help YES . Good luck

They do have to be above the heart..you want the fluids to go down the
legs and into the torso which then redistributes it differently..just putting
them up will keep more fluid from collecting but it will not help get rid
of the most fluid that will stay down in the ankles for a long time.
It's a harsh reality to have to take time out for yourself to prop them
up higher..but it will give you the best results..also laying on your back
on your bed and using the wall to walk those feet up will cool them
and the fluid will come down faster..it's not a magic 20 min cure
but if you work it a couple times a day, it's going to be extremely
effective and you will be glad to get rid of those "elephant ankles"
as we call them in the USA..
Forgot Ice packs help as well trouble is you have to get up to put them back in the fridge when your feet have turned them to mush!

Hiya my auntie has something to do with her feet. She puts bottles of weter in freezer and sits down and rolls her feet on the bottles she said it helps more than most things she has tried xx
Hi, during the night my hands swell, I put my hands under cold water from the running tap, it feels amazing to me.....might help a bit I hope
