hi there!

I live in Sunderland and there is one there, also Washington and Newcastle. not sure about Gateshead tho you could check out the nhs hospital website to see if they have. Or, ask your GP for a referral he/she should oblige!l

hi doddsy I wish you luck and hope you get help soon.

My app for pain clinic is next Thursday I hope they can help me.

I take pregabalin, tramadol, paracetamol and sertraline among others!! tried nortriptyline years ago it helped me sleep that's all. I was put on pregabalin for spasms as I was going into full body spasms after surgery which neuro docs reckoned was connected to my pain it helps me tremendously tho I am since concerned about some reports about deafness.

take care and big hugs xxx

I am from Leam Lane ,I have been on gabapentin no good, amitriptyline no good Nortriptyline no good and now I am on pregabalin .I have watched a video from a American doctor who is working on fibre and the meds for this. He thinks pregabalin can make you go deaf. I don't want to take them but I think I would rather have deafness than suffer the pain I am going through at the minute. Hugs xx

well hello neighbour im on 600mg pregablin. 400mg tramadol and 150mg amitriptyline, funny enough ive just been to GP's tramadol not working now hes talking about morphine but first hes refering me back to rheumy to see what they say, im also waiting for hydrotherapy , ive also started at the primary mental health clinic at wreckenton ive had one session they are reaaly nice and its good to talk to someone whos not your family next session on fri, think i would prefer deafness to the pain we suffer to, go back to GP and talk to him about pain relief and other options, its taking me 2 year to get all this as the GP who i was seeing was hopeless so saw another GP and hes great really understand.

best of luck

hugs

I know that the RVI has a pain clinic and perhaps your GP could refer you. It's worth a try.

I'd be surprised if the QE or Bensham Hospital didn't have a pain clinic ?

The GPs in South Tyneside [I don't know if you are counted as being in Gateshead or South Tyneside] can refer their pain patients to a particular acupuncturist who has an agreement with the NHS. You could ask your GP if he can do the same. I wish you luck. S x
