does anyone else feel that methotrexate works for them. Im only on 10mg. Is a larger dose more effective for you.

I tried it for arthritis and it very nearly killed me..... Worst reaction ever but on a positive note I lost a stone in two weeks

I was on it when I was being treated for rheumatoid arthritis for 3 yrs then rheumy said he didn't think I had ra !!!!,but I found that it did help with the pain along with steroid injections in my hip both these meds were stopped when he became unsure, I haven't seen him since and now get treated by gp and although I have said that the only meds I found effective was the ones I used to be on they will not give me them I am now on morphine tablets,oramorph syrup for break through pain (which happens practectly every time I do anything ),pregabalin,trazadone,paracetomol,diazipam,and ciprelex,its really stupid to me surely all these are just as dangerouse as the other but at least I was getting some relief.

Hi I'm on 15 mg and although I was ready for giving it up So after 8 weeks it kicked in and I am feeling the best I have ever felt I have SLE andTA and took a bad flare while on steroids also I'm finding it difficult to get Past25 mg prednisolone dropping to 22.5 on Sun so here's hoping I can manage that every one is different but for me it is working Take care
