Fertility Information & Support
There is one thing more painful than having a baby: not having a baby!
1 in 6 couples in NI seek specialist help in trying for a child. The emotional impact of infertility can be overwhelming and sometimes just knowing that there are others feeling the same as you can help. Infertility is ranked among the 3 most stressful things to go through, along with bereavement and divorce. It is a deeply distressing illness, touching every aspect of life.
We run a number of Information/support groups in NI. The Derry group meets every two months in the MDEC Building, Altnagelvin Hospital.
Our services are open to anyone from the day they first think they have a fertility problem, through investigations, treatment and beyond. We also provide support to those ending treatment and those facing involuntary childlessness through our More to Life Network.
Contact Sharon for details of the next meeting and to learn more about the services we offer.
