We have reduced the frequency of our what we're up to blog, but every now and again we like to keep you updated with what's happening on behalf of all people experiencing infertility behind the scenes!
We are all working hard to raise awareness of the latest NIAC Survey for patients, to get a feel nationally for how patients are finding access to NHS care - if you've not yet fillied it in please do so - and share the link to your networks: surveymonkey.com/s/QL8CV76
If you have already filled in the survey online the link will take you back to the I N UK website. If you'd like to complete a paper version please do get in touch and let us know and one will be posted out to you.
We are also working on several workshops for this year Fertility Show fertilityshow.co.uk, the workshops are based on frequently asked questions to our Advice Line.
If you're already a member and coming along to the show, please do come and say hello. Remember if you're a forum or blog member please do share your username too so we know who we're talking too
Clare, Sharon, Gwenda and Susan are all continuing to be involved in regional funding, working with local and national media as well as PRCTs, Health Boards, MPs, DoH, HFEA - a lot of meetings go on behind the scenes where we make sure the voice of the patient is heard throughout any proposed changes.
Gwenda and Sharon are both also working on their regional support groups this week; Gwenda is adding another group to the growing number now available in Scotland.
All our staff work with support groups for all parts of the charity; wherever you are on your journey if you need support or think a local group would be useful, do get in touch!
Susan and Clare are also working on recruitment at the moment, ensuring the staff team is a productive and highly motivated team!
Hannah is now settled in to her new role as Volunteer Coordinator, she has the first Volujnteer online chat organised - there's still time to join in, do see the Volunteer forum on the section of the website most relevant to you for details or drop Hannah an email to find out more about the chat and the volunteer roles available: Hannah Tramaseur hannahtramaseur@infertilitynetworkuk.com
We want to remind our Premium Members of the additional benefits now available in the Premium Member Forum; PAL and Legal forums were moved in July, added to that we have the Ask a Counsellor Forum, Abstracts of Professional Articles and the private area for members to chat that is not on public view.
Diane, who runs the Professional Advice Line, also known as PAL as it's been such a friend to so many, can also be contacted by phone on Mondays, Wednesday & Fridays 10-4. So often members say it is just nice to speak to someone who understands and has time to answer their questions.
The Funding For Fertility section of the site is going through a period of change - we'd like to know what you'd like to see there. Do you want more information? If so what... Let us know!
Cindy & Sheena are busy working on accessing additional funding opportunities for the charity, if you're aware of a local or regional Grant opportunity or are a volunteer whose emplyer offers matched giving then do get in touch. We're keen to increase our regional network of both staff and volunteers.
And to finish as we draw towards Autumn and the darker evenings, do remember every Monday we have our online chat 8-9pm in the I N UK Member's Chatroom - this is now free to all our members, Standard & Premium. Everyone welcome!
