Recently, I had a chemical pregnancy after my third round of solo iui, knocked me for six had thought the journey was finally moving along but obviously not meant to be. This was my final round of a package I signed onto at LWC in Harley street. I'm now contemplating IVF but not sure I want to stay with LWC, the aftercare experience hasn't been great. I'm luckily based for work near Harley Street but a little lost in where to start. I wondered if anyone had experience with ARGC or Care or any other clinics anyone could recommend that are good for the solo journey. Any DM recommendations would be greatly appreciated x

Changing clinic

hiya, not a solo experience but I have used ARGC for years (now with a clinic in Spain for egg donor reasons). I found ARGC very professional and they have very good success rates (although sadly not for me). However, I always found the experience very impersonal. I think this is down to the fact they’re a big clinic and turn over huge numbers of people a day plus you don’t get assigned your doctor/team so see and speak to different people every day. I’m not sure it’s a huge criticism my end, more it’s just the nature of the beast.
As I say, I moved to a clinic in Spain to explore the egg donor route. My experience there has been totally different (albeit no success yet there either). You have an assigned doctor and assistant which means you speak to the same person everytime. I’ve found the overall experience there a lot more personal which I have appreciated. Hope this is helpful and good luck xx
Thank you for taking the time to respond #Tats78, really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. I'm sorry to hear your journey hasn't been a smooth one, fingers crossed your move to treatment in Spain will soon bring you happy news. I had seen the successful numbers for ARGC and been intrigued by the process no one wants to feel like they're on a conveyer belt moving from one post to another with no consistency. I will continue my research and hopefully find a good fir soon x wishing you the very best xx
have messaged you privately to name the clinic I can recommend - but just wanted to add that - seeing the same consultant and getting to know all the nurses really has helped… at the clinic I’m at the nurses all seem to share the same vibe - which adds to consistency
Hi there. I'm currently NHS funded but not as a solo patient. I switched hospitals because the first one I was with were not great at all, in fact I felt like I had wasted a lot of time with them. I can recommend another clinic who I'm currently with who are half NHS and half private, their success rate is really good and my partner and I had success with them on our first round of IVF treatment. Currently 13 weeks and 3 days pregnant. They also engage in a lot of research to help struggling woman to conceive and they are very professional in their work. I will DM the clinic details to you and you can check them out. x
