I received a sales email from a fostering agency this morning. No one else knows that I have tried for a baby except my NHS clinic and my private clinic. The NHS clinic doesn't have my email address - everything was done by post or phone messages. So I highly suspect it was the private clinic in central London who sold my data. I don't recall ever giving them the consent. It is annoying to think about who else they may have shared my data with. Has this happened to anyone else?

Did my clinic sell my personal data?

That's horrible if true, and could be unlawful. You can write to them and ask for information about how they store your data and if they have shared any aspect of your data externally, and/or check for a copy of their privacy notice on their website.
Hi. I would definately contact the clinic manager and alo the HFEA for their feedback. They would need to know of any misconduct hfea.gov.uk hope it gets sorted. Diane
I have started receiving emails from an agency too! Only recently though and I haven’t had IVF for almost 2 years. I wonder if there has there has been a data breach somewhere?
Same for me - last round was two years ago. Was your clinic in central London? I wonder if we went to the same one and there has been a breach through them?
