Has anyone used AOA (Artificial oocyte activation) and had success? I’ve never heard of it until tonight on a live Q and A. We have low fertilisation rates so something like this sounds great but it’s never been offered and is a HFEA add on. Thanks in advance for any insights.

Might be an idea to discuss this treatment with your clinic as they are aware of your full history ,previous results + blood/semen results .HFEA states it should only be offered in specific circumstances .

yes we used calcium ionophore for our second round of ICSI due to poor fertilisation. First round we had 7/21 fertilise, second round 12/21. May just have been a coincidence but we’re doing a sibling round soon so will use it again.
thanks for your replies. The clinic said I wouldn’t be a candidate this time but it might be something I advocate for in the future. Thanks for taking the time to reply x
