Hi everyone, I wanted to ask if anyone has had experience of doing this before icsi and whether it resulted in a high number of good quality embryos? I'd like to hear the both good and bad please. Thank you xx

Oocyte activation with calcium ionophore
Hi - it seems to have worked for us. First cycle I had around 20 eggs retrieved, but only 1 embryo which didn’t work. 2nd cycle, had 12 eggs and 3 embryos. Including One C grade in the freezer and currently 7 weeks pregnant with 2 x A grade embryos. It was £300, so I’d say that was money well spent!
Hi, we used this on my 3rd egg collection. We were offered it due to low ish fertilisation on the 2nd egg collection. It worked well for us, we had 7 good quality embryos (which was the highest number we had ever had by far). We had success with 2 of those embryos (my twins). Not sure of your history, but I was also given a double trigger on the 3rd egg collection to help with egg maturity.
Good luck x
hi it worked for us. We had calcium ionophore and Icsi had good fertilisation rates that cycle x
It worked for me also, much better fertilisation and blast rate compared to previous 2 cycles. Used mechanical egg activation, icsi and zymot. Good luck xx
ICSI isn’t to going to guarantee good embryos.
I’ve had it with varying results impacted by other factors
