Hi this is my fourth transfer but first medicated transfer.
The other three I’ve had spotting quite early on in the tww this time no spotting but from 2dpt I’ve been getting light cramps. Yesterday and today I’ve noticed I’m getting the cramps but it’s for the couple of hours following once I’ve done the progesterone then not really anything for the rest of the day.
Has anyone else had experience of this please? I don’t know what to think I convinced myself today it’s failed and felt really down. Thanks x

Hi, I was told by my clinic that cramps are due to the pessaries so that tie in with what you are feeling.
However I also had cramps at day 3/4 and again at day 9/10 and was convinced it had failed as I've had 4 previous failed transfers but to my surprise I got my BFP the other day!
I know that feeling well! My gut was telling me that all last week! I had even started to believe it couldn't work for me. I did actually wait the full 13 days but it was super hard!
It’s so hard isn’t it, I think I always try to protect myself and prepare myself for the worst. It’s also hard not knowing what’s the medication and what’s me.
Well done on waiting the 13 days, I’m so tempted to test today x
The original post was from last night so I’m 6dpt today, a whole day might make the difference haha.
I don’t know what to do, I feel like for me it’s easier if I slowly come to terms with the fail rather than waiting until test day and getting the negative then x
That's fair and you need to do what's best for you. I was desperate to test from day 9 but my bf wanted me to wait so I somehow did! I also tested early in some of my previous cycles and my clinic told me to wait and try again on test day and I always hated having to keep taking meds and hoping it would change when I knew it wouldn't.
Hope the cramps have settled down - try to keep yourself busy Continue with a healthy diet and drink plenty of fluids . Take any meds you were given as directed Hard to do but best wait for your OTD before testing
Hi there, I'm sorry you're feeling this way, it's so stressful. I'm in a similar position - I'm now 6DP5DT from a medicated FET. This is my 3rd transfer and I've not yet had a BFP but the last 2 days I've been having awful cramping and bloating, and that heavy ache in the womb, just like I get the day before my period comes. My belly is so swollen that my clothes are tight on me! I don't remember having these symptoms on my last transfers so I'm convinced it hasn't worked and my period will come any day now. However my clinic told me that these symptoms are normal. Good luck and I hope you get your BFP x
Oh you’ll have to keep me updated with being the same dpt. Are you planning on testing or waiting until OTD? You sound simalar to me, my cramps have been low down and I’ve been getting the heavy feeling too
The medication plays with our minds honestly it’s so cruel. All the symptoms from the medication, period on its way and pregnancy are all the same. It so confusing 🤯
We’ve been trying for four years, started IVF in Jan and never ever had a positive test. Feels like it will never happen. X
Yes let's keep in touch, I am planning on waiting until test day if my period doesn't come before then! Will you wait till OTD or test early? You're right, it's such a mindbender 😵💫 it seems like we are very similar in terms of achey cramps. I've also had diarrhoea this afternoon (sorry tmi!) which I usually get when my period is about to come, so hard not to read into everything (but that's totally what I'm doing).
It's such a rough journey and one thing I have struggled with is how long it all takes 😪 it's been 4 and a half years for me, so we are at a similar stage! This is my 3rd transfer and I've also never had a positive test. I really hope this is the time for us both, and I hope you're hanging in there during your TWW X
Yeah it’s so hard not to over think everything, I’ve really felt like my period was on its way, I’ve still got the cramping off and on, really low.
Everything with ivf is so slow all the waiting aswel.
So I started to convince myself it hadn’t worked because of the cramps so thought I’ll just do a test so I can start to come to terms with the fail. I got the faintest line 🥺 wasn’t expecting it. Will keep testing every day now, hopefully it sticks around 🤞🏻
Wow, that's amazing news, massive congratulations! I'm so pleased for you and keeping my fingers crossed too that it sticks around 🤞thanks lovely, let's hope I get my first line soon too X
