Hi all...I was hoping someone would have any experience of going to Turkey for embyro donation....I have gone to Greece 5 times to the same clinic...2 pregnancies lost one at 7 weeks and the other at 9....the last few times I went...I literally was put on the bed and transfer done no checking my lining etc...I feel afraid to go anywhere else as I feel they know me there maybe too well....and the cash is really difficult to save..Turkeys prices are half of Greece...but am I setting myself up for failure....thanks

Hi Daisy,

My first IVF experience in Turkey was a success. But I lost the baby at 23 weeks due to pre-eclampsia. I paid around 6,000 euros. I remember asking the doctor if embryo or egg donation was possible, given my low ovarian reserve. He replied that it was strictly forbidden. So I advise you to find out all you can. At the moment, I'm trying IVF in Egypt (cheaper than Turkey), and I hope to succeed. I send you all my support

Hope you don't mind me asking the name of the clinic as after failed cycles now considering clinics abroad... xx

Sure. I don't know if we can give the names of clinics on the forum. Feel free to delete. In Turkey, it was at the office of Dr Senai Askoy. Thé ponction and transfer are carried out at the American hospital. Being French, I wanted a doctor who spoke French, so that we could understand each other better. In Egypt, it's at the Egyptian IVF Center.

Hi, I have also done my ivf in Turkey and on the 3rd cycle, I gave birth to my son. I’m afraid as Turkey is a Muslim country, they do not allow egg or sperm donation. Good luck on your journey

Dunya is the best over there so the ladies keep saying

hello daisydooloe19, may i ask which is that click in Greece that doesn't check your uterus lining? i am also having my treatment in greece at IVF embryogenesis in Marousi and they also check everything, plus they do blood tests and ultrasounds without paying anything extra . It doesn't sound good that they did not check for your lining or progesterone :(

good luck with your next effort! xxx <3

it's not good to feel they give up on you. maybe they are not doing these tests any more as they've seen you've been responding well and there is no need for this. but in any case you should ask for more testings for peace of mind xxx

Hey being Turkish and been through 7 rounds of egg collection there I can tell you they do not do embryo donations in Turkey due to religious reasons.

I have all but given up on the idea of trying again but met a really nice IVF doctor this year flying out there couple months ago. He said Cyprus is really advanced and has good success rates for embryo donation so maybe look into Cyprus.

Thanks so much I hope you give it one more try....the clinic in Athens charges 7 000.00 but when I looked up Cyprus it looked like 9,000.00....sounds like nothing but a lot to me....do you remember that actress that went to Cyprus and got pregnant at 50 with egg donation x

All this money it all mounts up. Do what’s best for you.

I’m now 42 and when I was in Turkey 2 months ago went doctors my AMH is now 0.1 so chances are slim. We all know what it’s like the part that’s desperate to become a mum tells me to continue but the logical part of me says stops too many heart aches.

I’m a lurker here just looking for hope full stories and trying to give myself hope. ❤️
