Well we had our 10 day scan today. I don't feel optimistic 😕 we had 1 large follicle at 18mm, another 3 at 13mm and then 1 at 9mm and 3 under that. The nurse said its unlikely the 4 smaller will grow but they will keep me on stims until Monday for egg collection. We re-scan Saturday. Bit gutted. Was really hoping we might get at least 1 embryo and who knows we might, just not sure what quality it'll be due to my age of 38. We are doing icsi.
My cycle was day 1-6 - 300 meriofert
Day 6 start ganirelix shot
Day 6-13 - 150 meriofert, 150 gonal F, ganirelix shot in the morning.
If we can afford further cycle not sure if the stims will change.. any thoughts?? Xx

You still have loads of time for your smaller follicles to catch up 😀🙏, you may even have some hidden that you can't see or follicles growing on other follicles and hiding! I was in a similar position, they can grow 2mm a day, even your smaller follicles if 7mm, can be 15mm by Monday, then you'll have 36hrs from trigger, say you take your trigger Monday night your smaller ones could be 19 mm by egg collection. Smaller follicles 14mm can also have mature eggs in the. Keep hope, you could lose your 18mm one if it grows too big (or it could slow down 🙏) , but the other 7 follicles could all be a good size if triggering for egg collection Wednesday. Best wishes x
I wouldn’t worry too much, when I had my scans I only had 3 follicles and eventually got up to 5 so for my egg collection they were hopeful for 5 eggs but I only got 1 (I have a low AMH). However that 1 egg fertilised and I am now 5 weeks pregnant still can’t believe it! My consultant always said “it only takes one” so as disheartened as you are right now, please keep the faith 🙏 wishing you lots of positive vibes ✨
Hi. In a few days some of the smaller follicles could have caught up to contain an egg, enabling a better egg collection. Try not to despair, you could end up with a few decent eggs. Thinking of you. Diane
